Obama In Over His Head 06/01/2009
![]() by Dacia Nichol What does General Motors, Amtrak, Medicaid and Social Security all have in common? You can have three guesses but you’ll only need one: The government. To keep things upbeat, we’ll just point out that all are failing entities as well and costing us billions of dollars...soon to be trillion. Woot! Good job boys! Maybe we should have let some Latina women chime in....after all, our up and coming SCOTUS nominee says things would fare much better under some of them than any of the white men up in the mix. (sarcasm) Why, after time and time again, where we have witnessed the government attempt to solve problems in the private sector and fail miserably do we still get behind the idea that maybe this time, ignoring the wide multitude of examples to the contrary, it just might work? Wait a minute. You mean 67% of we the people aren’t behind this sham? According to Rasmussen, only 18% of Americans think the federal government would do a good job at running GM to begin with. They’re going to maximize our investments with this plan? Okay...so going along with this administration’s logic, that must mean that the $0.75 per share that GM stock is currently worth can go up to a whole $0.80 and we can declare victory in our endeavors. Hear that grandkids? It will all be okay! Obama’s president now! Just listen to all the confidence coming from the senior administration: “I don’t think we’re here today to predict or project.” Are ya feeling it yet? That fuzzy feeling inside that beams inspiration? “The administration believes no additional assistance to GM will be required.” But...didn’t you just say you’re not going to predict anything? Oh that’s right...you’re only going to tell us what we want to hear so we don’t riot in the streets over this absurdity. The ultimate message coming from this whole bailout-bailout-bankruptcy (similar to duck-duck-goose)? We told you so. CommentsLeave a Reply |
